The Bird Church

Your potential is your gift from God, what you do with it is your gift to God and the world.*

A mentor of mind told a story so deep in impact, so on point, regarding potential:
Dave just moved into his new dream house and he set up his office perfect so that he could see the opening of a historic church. He set up his home office the first week and on Sunday morning (the church being historic, and not in operation) he was surprised to see a strong attendance going to the church. This wasn't the astonishing part, no, it was that the attendees were walking, yes walking into church very orderly and they were BIRDS! He couldn't believe what he was seeing, thinking it was a hoax he decided to take a closer look. . .

What he saw next was more astonishing he perched (pun) himself by the door so that he could see into the chapel. Up in the front was a preacher bird. He was in front of his congregation and was chirping them one of the greatest sermons ever heard among feathered company. He was calling out: "You are all designed to fly, you have feathers wings, bone structure, body structures. Those things by your side if you move them up and down fast enough you can FLY!"

Pretty soon all the birds began experimenting, they started for the very first time noticing the strength of their wings moving them back and forth quicker and quicker. It wasn't long before the birds were zipping back and forth faster and faster across the chapel, what was once an orderly session was now pandemonium. Birds all over collisions in mid-air as they received strength. What excitement. . .

The chapel bell sounded that Sunday morning and the birds all walked out.

There are so many times that we are allowed to see our true potentials, then as we walk away from that clarity, that vision, we take on mediocrity and a society of mediocre people creates meritocracy.

Ask For 'It'

I have witnessed different ways that people go about getting what they desire. It is interesting that communication techniques of individuals in relationships i.e. passive, passive aggressive, aggressive and assertive play out in all areas of an individuals life.

I enjoyed a very potent demonstration of this last night. I attended a collaborative business meeting. This is an environment that entrepreneurs will go that allows them to request assistance and assist others in attaining not only small goals, but lifelong dreams. The groups buy in was collectively as strong as your own desire to see your dream accomplished.

There is something that happens when a group of individuals come together to genuinely serve one another. The creative force is greater than the individual. More can be accomplished in a few short minutes then in months and years. Doors can open to possiblities that the access to may have been hidden for years. The true spirit of the MASTERMIND appears as Napoleon Hill outlines in his programs.

Even in such environments people are timid and need training in asking for what they want. In fact especially in these environments. This needs to be modeled taught and practiced. The world is abundant full of opportunity and wealth for the asking. The area that I see needs improvement is the asking.

It is respectable when an individual in 30 seconds can introduce themselves, state there purpose and ask for their desires. This is the assertiveness necessary to make 'it' happen. In a group of people who have given their time to assist and are in the attitude of doing so already it makes sense to get to the point quickly.

More then all this combined is the clearity of purpose that can be gained from a practice of I will communicate who I am, my mission I am about, and what area I need assistance. An individual who can do so effectively displays confidence, belief in the accomplishment of the goal, rallies support, and establishes trust the individual trusts in others these three areas.

EGO

For me as a male what an amazingly confusing topic the "EGO".

I have a background in Psychology which adds confusion to the definition.

I have a background, present, and future with the battle of pride, glory confusion.

I have a deep appreciation for people and I value myself create role confusion.

I struggle with fear, confusion with the use of unhealthy ego defenses.

This seems an area with confusion surrounding to go to higher sources for answers. I have chosen to write on two:

1) God. Yes it is my blog and I will write on this topic as my freedom of speech allows. I once heard it said that EGO stands for Edging God Out. It is a catchy phrase to remind oneself to be humble when the EGO is sensed. On a deeper level. It is a reminder of the basic Ten Commandments. To give all glory to him who has provided everything for us. It is a difficult thing to do. Deep within all of us is the innate desire to feel important. This is healthy. When one desires to feel more important then others it is puffed up, prideful, and the EGO has Edged God Out. I am preaching here I mentioned earlier this is a never ending battle.
-Great question to ask constantly: "Who am I giving credit to here?"

2) I use a lesson I learned once that I was reminded of by John C. Maxwell in one of his phenomenal works. Ego is not so much thinking that you are so much greater then everyone else, it is thinking everyone else is less important then you. Studies have shown that we think of ourselves 86% of the time and others only 14% of the time. It only stands to reason to balance out the level of importance we give the all mighty self is to get into action and to serve others more. There is a great reward for this, the problems tend to fall out of one's life as genuine service is rendered.
-Great question: "What can I do for others today that they cannot do on their own?"

Bring Value

It is a question that some people ask. What do you mean by Bring Value?

Most people don't ask it they probably assume based on their own filters what 'it' is about.

I have spent some time pondering on the reason the site evolved around the name 'bring value'. I say evolving because I didn't know at the time I chose the name that it would end up choosing me. I thought it was a way to remind myself that you are only as valuable as the value you bring to others.

The value you bring to others is a great pursuit. I find that value one time is not sufficient though. I think it is to remind me of the key ingredient. The foundational principle of value that is added to service.

What would service be without value. It would be valueless. That is the reason the name has chosen me. What this site means to me is a constant striving to become more valuable, to add more value to others and as I add value to others consistently over time I am their servants.

This is the way I have seen those I admire and look to for guidance achieve greatness. The service to many leads to greatness. It is not the pursuit of greatness then it is the pursuit of serving the masses. My goal is to serve the masses in a way that feels intimate and universal. One way I have chosen to do this is to right about the lessons I learn in life.

Non-Negotiable

The quality of your life is directly determined by the items in it that are non-negotiable on a day-to-day basis.

What do you make non-negotiable? This is truly the test to see if you deserve to attract what you say you desire.

So many people are into the Secret, but miss the whole point. The secret is about direction but not entitlement. There is so many misguided people in this area.

You can change your direction right now, at the snap of my fingers you can change your direction. It is the daily disciplines or what I call the 'non-negotiables' that determine your elevation and attraction.

It is not merely enough to put out the "universe" or I will use herein God and say grant me these things and as I focus hard enough on them they will appear. It is the first step only.

You get in life what you deserve not what you wish for. If you are heading in life down paths for example that lead you unhealthy outcomes, simply desiring for a clean bill of health will give you direction for where you desire to go. This healthy desire will assist you as you make an apple a day a non-negotiable.

The person who desires to attract healthy teeth will not have them magically appear in their mouth if they have been rotted out by unhealthy non-negotiable. Some people who have rotted teeth had the non-negotiable of eating candy daily, of not refusing to floss, brush, of being malnourished. These are non-negotiable.

The person building a business in there 5-9 after their 9-5 and makes it a non-negotiable to watch American Idol or their favorite sitcom is not likely to find success. This violates the natural laws of the harvest.

More later on this topic. . .

Habits of Service

There is a remedy for the leader that is overlooked. It seems counter productive to too many leaders and some may abandon it all together when the going gets tough.

It is that service unlocks new solutions for many of the issues facing a leader and an organization. If you go back to your production, if you go back to the height of your efficiency as a team service was involved.

When service is the habit that a leader gets into when an organization needs to fight to get to the next level then the organization becomes more healthy. The cause is more clear opening for clarity the organization's purpose. When the organization has purpose then the members feel there own purpose and Synergy occurs.

When the phenomena and miracle that is synergy occurs then stand back world because strength and a force that can move mountains is coming through.

Things That Give Life Meaning

I know that it seems in the pursuit of great things that you must get motivated to go and get your needs met. That you go after everything important to you and then you will obtain it eventually.

There is a much faster way. Be pleased with the things in life that give you meaning today. Take those same things and enhance them. Get better in the relationships, give more to the church or charity, save more in the bank, love deeper and more selflessly.

It is true that as you become more you will earn more. The starting point really has to be now today what do I have that I am greatful for. If you are reading this very sheet and the only thing you feel is going well for you is that you can physically read this. Choose this day to take that vision for granted no longer. Set your eyes on higher things. Turn your vision from the things you don't have and look at what you do.

I recently saw a clip of a guy who had no arms no legs and was able to do some amazing things. I won't ruin it but you gotta check this out:

Push Through It

A body in motion stays in motion. Overcoming the struggle to create enough inertia is the most difficult part.

It is true that the longer one sits and thinks about things and doesn't act it takes more energy to get that individual in motion. The largest nation in the world is the nation of Procrastination. This is a force that says I will paint the painting when the conditions are right. I will build the relationship when it seems like the right timing. I will grow the garden when the next season this one appears too harsh. I will build my business more aggressively when I become more.

This is all a load of excuses. Excuses are all well planned lies to prevent us from having the richness in life. If you want more, act more, fail more and improve 1% each time you make your next attempt.

I will repeat that again: "If you want more then act more, fail more then improve 1% each next attempt.

Forget Yourself

It is a catchy phrase in Leadership Seminars all over the world right now: Servant Leadership.

Because it is so popular a term, it is very understudied. Servant Leadership is not a characteristic it is a pursuit. It is not easily achieved it is vigilantly maintained. It goes against human nature.

It means I am having faith that I have everything I need so I can give myself to helping you accomplish your goals.

The people we work for (see not work for us) don't really care much about what we need. They are concerned about their success. It is not about us at all. Most if not all people have had a boss that demands and cares only about his/her needs. It is invalidating and effects the morale.

The idea of servant leadership is that I forget my wants and desires knowing that they will be taken care of, that if I help you meet all your needs, I will be taken care of . It is a great shift. The challenge here is that you genuinely need to assist others without fear. It requires faith.

Is this just a good philosophy, a good go by, a nice way to exist? Well it is a win-win. It is selfless it is unique, and it is a decision. If you aren't getting results in terms of what you are currently doing commit (not try) to serving more people.

The amount of wealth received is in direct proportion to the amount of service we provide.

Your Bucket

There is an analogy that gets used a lot involving of all things a bucket. I guess buckets have been around long enough that they are universal and have time to be thought about in profound ways (shrug). The kicking the bucket analogy is not the attention of this blogs' topic. The reaction bucket of water or gasoline is not the focus either, although somewhat related.

The focus is the bucket of emotional wellness. I remember when I was just before my teenage years in Sunday School catching a little bit of a lesson. It was someone, I couldn't tell you who, but I remember they were someone I respected so I can remember listening. They talked about everyone having a bucket. I must have thought this was a curious idea because I listened more closely. The spirit of the lesson:

We all have a bucket that make up our emotional wellness. When we interact with others in our environment at times we allow them to draw from the substance of our emotional bucket in an unhealthy way. We allow them to 'dip' from our bucket. This is what is occurring when we are having a great day and somebody comes along and either intentionally or unintentionally says something that we allow to make us feel less then, or hurt by, or irritated with. They 'dipped' from our bucket, and we actually walk away feeling less confident, more uneasy, less peaceful inside.

This was a great thing to learn at an early age. In my very hyperactive youth I may have missed the coping piece of this. This awareness became a way to identify resentments and blame others for many years. I still go back to the blaming and anger for bucket dippers sometimes.

This practice of blaming and getting resentful is neither healthy or empowering. I am suggesting a few things that assisted me in becoming more pro-active.

1) KNOW YOUR WEAKNESS. I know what emotions that are off when I sense someone 'dipping'
2) Use the awareness of these emotions to trigger healthy coping skills.
3) Understand that most people are not intentional 'dippers'
4) Because of this: Leveling with people is so vital. Leveling is a term I use to describe respectful communication of situations that are becoming difficult to cope with.
5) Leveling requires a specific description (to know oneself is key). Then a boundary set.
6) If you respectfully level and it is not received you receive a 'bigger bucket' or become more emotionally capable if your respond respectfully and don't react.
7) Allow the individual time to process. Check in with someone else during this time, trusting someone is a great way to fill up your bucket. (I have also found it important to check in with someone prior to leveling to ensure a leveling is necessary)
8) Hold your head up high you were healthy and assertive. Congrats! (I am working on this part) REWARD YOURSELF FOR YOUR COURAGE. This fills my bucket.

I can guarantee one person on earth that you will always be around 24-7 to assist in your emotional bucket, you.

Take ownership of your
bucket and be good to yourself.

The Real Riches

Confidence.

Why is it that some of the most wealthy people are still insecure, discontent, and unhappy? Lack of confidence. Can you believe it. If this element is missing then there is a fight of fear that is being lost, and the person losing is very unhealthy.

Why is it that all along the spectrum of wealth and success these same feelings exist. From the poor and struggling to the financially well off.

It is amazing isn't it?

Confidence as discussed here goes far beyond the money in the bank. It is as my mentor says real easy to measure. Riches are richness.

Richness in your home life. Richness in your professional relationship. Richness in your recreation. Richness in your health. Richness in you purpose. Richness in your ability to be congruent with ideals and values. Richness in your service. Richness in hope. Tying all this together your richness with your God.

It is amazing that the fear level for someone making 7 figures a year can be higher then the person just scraping by. It is though. The amount of stress induced heart atacks for the affluent are higher then the average middle class. Why is this?

Confidence. When we are doing what are purposed to do on this earth, we have hope that we can accomplish it and we have our values in all their forms aligned. Our gift is a confidence, a fortress of Faith that fear can not penetrate. Sure fear attempts to enter and may seep in. But faith above the level of doubt even in the slightest form (mustard seed) is more powerful.

Try this, start adding a mustard seeds worth of success to each of the areas of your life that are important. If you don''t save well put a little in the account. If your relationships are suffering, make some emotional deposits in the account of your loved ones. Pray a little more (it is so vital). Take the time to eat the apple a day. Take the time once a day to get the heart rate up (just a mustard seeds worth). Take the time to call a loved one you have missed the company of.

The faith and hope we have that is a mustard seed above doubt, fear and discouragement is enough to give confidence. When confidence is felt stand back world because a mountain is about to be moved.

Creating a Rhythm

A leader has a tempo. It is a controlled excitement, it is attractive, and it creates amazing results.

This only occurs after commitment is made, a plan is in place and execution begins. It comes from setting minimum activities and striving everyday to exceed the minimums consistently so that the bar can be raised.

This is not as difficult as it sounds. It is truly daily activity that creates rhythm. It is so vitally important that this occurs that it is the difference maker.

Let me give you an example. Let's say for example your goal is to speak to do 20 sales calls in a weeks time. Two scenarios to look at.

Person a) goes out once or twice in the first couple days they could be doing it or choosing to go golf with his business partners. At the end of the week around Thursday or Friday he goes out and blitzes or in other words condenses time frames. He has 6 appointments done in the first 3 days so he has to do 14 in the next two days. This puts his work load at 160% and and he knows that he has to really work hard to finish out the week.

Person b) goes out and is consistent on Monday he does 3 a day, Tuesday he does 5, Wednesday he stays up on 5, Thursday he had an afternoon tee-time so he gets 3 calls in, and on Friday he finishes out the week with 4 and heads home in the afternoon.

Describe the characteristics of each of these salespeople. The first is he stressed in the first part of the week. Surprisingly a little, he knows what is coming up around the corner, he has just recovered from a similar week the week before. During the end of the week when he has at least 7 calls to make, are his customers feeling this guys pressure. Absolutely.

This is so slight a difference in approach but so obvious in the long haul that you can describe the symptoms of each at the end of the quarter.

Take the time to set up your goals for the week and get the rhythm going. It is the momentum that you have created that will allow you to step up production if you need to, and the freedom to step away for a break without harming the results.

Who Do You Go To For Advice?

I have a belief that each person has their own talents and strengths and we can learn something from anyone. I do not believe that you should go to all people for any advice.

This is foolish to think for example a banker should advise a farmer on the seed to sow and when. A blacksmith to tell the investor when to buy or sell. The clergyman to tell the business owner what steps are necessary for the success of the business.

It is amazing though how people will seek after the uneducated advice and find they have failed as a result. It is a difficult thing to be a master in the field of practice you have decided to spend your blood sweat and tears in. Don't lose your course by going in the direction someone points you in who is well intentioned but uninformed.

Just to prove the point of roles here. You can learn small lessons about broad subjects from many roles. Taking advice from some roles would be like a Father going to his infant cousin and saying how do I be a good father? The infant cousin of this uncle can teach a great deal about being humble and meek like a child, but lacks the wisdom to give advice about how to lead and rear a family.

I am just saying if you desire good advice go to those who have the results you want and camp on their doorstep if necessary. Opinions are a cheap commodity, but sound advice will take some work and are valuable.

No Growth In Your Comfort Zone

I received a text from a good friend and business partner yesterday. I loved the way she sent it. It had such a humble way about how she gained this realization so as to remove my ego and allow me to receive it again. I say again because I have discovered this truth but if I am not applying this very concept daily it is knowledge that sits on my head and soon I become weaker having not applied it.

Here it is exactly how Rebekah sent it:
"Something I learned 2day(so amazingly humble): The day u settle in a comfort zone is the day Ur life will begin 2 sink. . . Always strive 2 become 1% better than u were yesterday. . . comfort can be humanities enemy there is no growth in ur comfort zone. . ."

I love this, and I applied it yesterday and I will continue to apply it today, and tonight before going to bed as I pre-plan for tomorrow I will keep in my mind this question. How can I be 1% better tomorrow in my roles as a husband, a father, a son, a steward, a professional, a friend, a servant?

Think about it if you were a tree you wouldn't stop growing what makes you think if the seeds of growth were planted in you were good only for yesteryear. This is your time to grow again. Begin today to fight the complacency of comfort, continue today with a prayer if you already have started this direction and stretch a little more, and grow beyond what you were yesterday.

How the Economy has Forced Positive Change in Our Life

Economic downward spiral=Positive Change. Who thinks that way? Winners do. It is only what is between your ears that prevents you from having what anyone else in this world has. The same wind blows on us all it's the set of the sail that is the difference. (Jim Rohn philosophy)

I have been reading more, I have been writing more, I have been other focused more, I have been loving more, I have been observing more. It is the times in life that I am awake that brings richness. It is the significant times like hardships seen that brings alertness.

I love leading people through lessons I have learned so they can relate and hopefully go through the lessons faster then me. So as a result of the economy I started a blog that have these lessons so that they don't stay with me. I love the economy in some ways because it has allowed people to be open to lessons they may have been complacently blind to.

I have began writing about the lessons, mostly related to the economy and bringing more value in life. I have found that writing in this area is a passion. I love it. Imagine the mindset shift of what can I learn vs I am a victim here why is this happening to me. This was the topic yesterday Fascinated vs Frustrated. This one shift in philosophy would cause a huge change in the world. If trials in life were there for us to learn and develop new strengths rather then new excuses of weakness.

I know today, because of the economy, I am paid in proportion to the value and service I bring to the marketplace. If I worry about me and mine I am only opening my arms to me and mine. If I look everyday to be an example of positive expectancy, of true value added, of true service rendered, then I will lose myself in a cause much greater then myself. I will assist many leaders in the pathway of great influence.

I know that because of the new economy some of the giants of the industries we knew only 4 or 5 years have been brought to their knees. Big companies that were paying their employees on credit and then expect the government to bail them out. This has left a huge need to be filled by leaders who can step out in front of the pack. Who can decide the integrity that they will build their organization on, and who have a clear path to the top of the ladder.

Because of the new economy I have walked away from the Constant Negative News (CNN) channel. I have limited my viewing of TV. I have gotten my news from more objective sources. I read more, I do more audible learning, I am very protective about my associations and I am bringing a message of hope to everyone who is discouraged: Wake up, when blood runs in the streets (current economy) there is more opportunity to rise up and provide service then ever. Do this consistently and you will be promoted through life. Do this with determination the things you use to worry about will be replaced with new passions and visions that you only dreamed about.

Frustrated or Fascinated

During the course of becoming more so that you bring more value and are able to be deserving of more there will be events that occur that can cause frustration. This is to be expected. It even hurts at times, this is to be expected. The masses will get frustrated to the extent that healthy paterns of pursuing there dreams can be interupted if they remain frustrated.

I propose on this morning that instead of being FRUSTRATED you become FASCINATED. Fascination has such a teachable feel to it. If you can imagine getting into the habit of: "What can I learn from this experience?" vs. the all to often "Why is this experience happening to me?" There is a huge difference.

The next time you have the sense that this isn't fair know that you are on the blaming side. The reason fairness is even being considered it is because a preceeding question has occured: "Why is this happening to me?"

The success side would be "this has occured, what can I see in this situation as a lesson I can take from it". It is like my mentor says "you can learn a lot more in your defeats then your wins can ever teach you."

Don't get good at having defeats, learn to get good at owning the lessons in them. It is where wisdom is found.

Current LIFE-STYLE

A snapshot in time-

Your current lifestyle is hard to define until you have a simple technique. Take an imaginary camera, take a picture of your life. Really take a picture, a close look at your life.

Go and take note of your closet, what wardrobe, what organization. Take a picture of your car interior exterior, your kitchen, bedroom, open the "junk drawer".

Take a picture of how you are interacting in each of the 6 major areas of life: Family/Home, Financial/Career, Mental and Educational, Physical and Health, Social and Cultural, and Spiritual and Ethical.

If you are unsatisfied in any of these areas then you are alive if not you just can't be helped. There is no one that I have ever met that has complete alignment in all 6 areas. Even the very self-actualized individuals that I know will say it is because they keep their focus on these areas so they can improve in them.

This may bring you to a "day of disgust", the problem is that if you reach this day and don't have a road map going forward then you continue to degrade your standard and reaching more and more days. Here is the road map I use:

1) Keep a log or a journal of the description of each (when I work with people I require it) .

2) Write down the current reality with great detail as above.

3) Write down your ideal lifestyle being very specific about what you want

4) Spend time each week asking for what it is you desire ( it is a healthy positive invitation, most people spend tons of time asking to not have the ______, and get more ______ as a result, instead ask for more of what you want).

5) Don't leave the house without making some change in at least one of the 6 areas, this will help you harness the power of momentum.

6) Start cutting pictures of the ideal and sticking them where you will see them. This doesn't have to be weird, but it is necessary the more clear you are of what you want the more close your faculties can provide it.

7) Take action- Example-If I want a more organized closet- I would put a picture just inside the door where I may reach for my tie in the morning and see the organization that is ideal. Because I am constantly aware of the direction I am heading I will put my shoes in a more orderly fashion, my awareness will be on organizing tools if I pass them in a store.

8) Be kind and loving. It probably took you many years to manifest your current situation.

It probably took you many years to manifest your current Lifestyle, it will likely take a few small habits to manifest a new lifestyle, but these few easy to do things will take time to replace the old.

95% of People

To beat the masses. . .

Life is not all about competition, but one area it may behoove you to be actively attempting to be in front of others on is the financial situation of those who are 65 years old.

95% of the United States population are dead or dead broke by the age of 65. In other words they are not independent after years of work, they are dependent on the government or family members.

The trend is getting worst. With 'Baby Boomers' soon using up Social Security more rapidly then any other generation there is only an estimated 13 years left. The country average bank account was -$300 last year, and the 401ks cut to lo0king like 201 or 101ks.

These sad stats have caused some masses to wake up. I mean millions have bought the book "Start Late Finish Rich".

I am not up in my years, but I fully intend to be "up in my years". I am preparing now for a lifestyle beyond belief. There is no age set on retirement.

The way to beat the masses is to decide today that 5 years of decisions outside of the way the masses think, act, talk, and associate can break you away from the gravity of this. Even if you are 65 years old 5 years is all it takes.

Begin today to aggressively change what you do, it is time to go opposite the downward pull of the stream of lack.

This country is full of needs to be filled the USA is full of opportunity. Don't let Constant Negative News (CNN) full you.

There will still be more new millionaires created over the next ten years then ever before in this country.

This is the first mindset change you must have if you desire to not be one of the 95%.

The Habit

Habits are created by doing something over and over receiving reinforcement each time. You may have heard that the 45th time you do something in a row then it becomes a habit. I am not speaking here of addiction which may become habit forming much quicker.

The negative habits and the positive habits appear to develop at different rates. The main focus of today's blog will be how do you take the knowledge that repetition creates habit, that practice makes permanent and use it to your advantage.

Maybe the reason that a positive habit takes longer to re-enforce is shear force of gravity, or the gravity of former behavior. It has taken many years to develop the behavior that you are replacing with the new behavior. The gravity of the behavior can pull you back to your comfort zone quickly. This is not to be feared. Just suspended as wisdom.

Perhaps the reason for the difficulty is laziness-it's easier to stay stuck then to muster the inertia to get unstuck.

I would like to suspend for right now the shamefulness of laziness and call a more descriptive bare-bones idea of what I believe is really keeping you stuck. . .

To get unstuck there needs to be a habit developed before other positive habits can maintain long term consistent change.

This is the habit of doing the things you know you need to do, even when the emotions would say otherwise, even when the physical strength left would say otherwise, and even when you are not mentally feeling tough enough to go through it.

This seems so simple. Yep, but what is simple to do is simple not to. The reason someone cannot stick to the commitments they set up is because they mentally force doubt and rationalization onto it, they emotionally are brought down and confidence is shaken, and physically their energy immediately has given way to fear. Fear saps the energy more then any other emotion. The same is true with faith, faith in a process restores energy more then any other emotion. Faith combined with knowledge or belief creates hope and hope fills energy beyond our understanding.

So practical solution. You are going to laugh at this it is so basic. You may not even apply it, are you ready?

An apple a day.

The idea is that you eat an apple a day. This represents the small disciplines that you know you need to do, that will not kill you today if you don't, but over the course of time will eventually take you out. You eat a candy bar a day for 365 days you will look feel think different then if you ate an apple.

Take out a notepad and every night for 30 days (a month from today) decide on one discipline that you know you will do for 30 days straight (must be something you have faith in and believe that you can) mark your progress nightly and see how well you do. Don't at first set the bar too high, as you become disciplined in small things, greater things will be given.

Confidence is grown in the small victories throughout a day.

Stewardship

There is an abundance in the world. Enough for everyone. Today's topic is on stewardship. This may not be a term used in your vernacular. I use it rarely myself. This is what I know about Stewardship-
1) That which you have responsibility to oversee
2) That area which influence
3) Those for whom you serve
4) If the areas that you have been placed charge over is not growing, instead declining it is one person's fault you.
5) Serve others for which you have charge first, a selfish heart will destroy
6) To glorify God is to take and be the most productive steward possible
7) Areas of life for which you are given charge can be many and diverse.
8) Don't neglect an area without delegating to another stand in steward
9) Riches are to be desired from stewardship's, they are not to be sought first, the kingdom is, and then the intent of the riches are used to assist others
10) Monetary riches are not the only results, in business they are the easiest to count
11) Learn to track results for awareness on how to be a better steward
12) Burn your bridges behind you, your safety spots that keep you from fully committing to your stewardship, and be mighty in your efforts.

Stewardship takes on different forms. If we clearly define our stewardship, seek vision for what change within this role, and seek to bring more value as stewards. If we all in all lose ourselves in our Stewardship then we will be Righteous Stewards and be able to beckon any power necessary to move mountains.

What Color Motivated Are You?

There are four personality types that are dominant with people. Why is this so important? Well how would you like to speak with someone and feel your point is getting acrossed, feel you have really connected and walk away and find out there are very lost or worst find out they were on the side of offended? Would you like to know the key components for motivating an individual. Would you like to know how, when giving a presentation to connect with all four colors that are in your audience very rapidly?

The basics is that you need to learn who is primarily what color of personality and what their secondary color is that is not to far behind. This is tuning into someone's WIIFM radio station, in otherwords what's in it for me is going to be identified by the individual who can identify the color that primarily dominates their the listeners color type.

So here it is 4 color types:

Red-Driven, money motivated, goal setting, strong personality

Green- Facts oriented, analytical, slow moving to decision,

Blue- Funnnn! throw to much facts it will reck this person's time

Yellow- Helpers of all, in fact the extremes will run environmental campaigns.

There is so much more to the science of colors but this is the basics intro stuff. Certain things that you are currently doing if you are not aware of the colors is likely pushing certain people away. It is true that you are probably attracting other colors.

Success Is Built

The way to build success is slow seemingly insignificant steps that add up to small victories.

There will be a time that you will not feel completely confident in what you are doing. The voice of defeat will begin nagging you constantly and you will feel as if you have failed. This is not so, this is not true.

The only way to fail is to not get up again and make another attempt, everything else is just results. The best way to pick yourself back up is to set a small goal that you know is easy to achieve, come back and set another one with the bar lifted a little higher.

This momentum of success you begin to create while may have a very little outward appearance of success on the inside will make you feel amazing.

The turbo boost comes when you realize you are great and can accomplish great things through small simple successes adding up bringing value to you. This is the factor that separates others.

The wealthy and the poor (speakings strictly of money success) are not stripped of everything coming to this earth with much different faculties.

The person who succeeds is the person who believes they can, applies this knowledge, does succeed and grows as a result to set higher goals.
