Why is the housing market much more than a crisis of financial measures?
Why are those involved having such a tough time deciding what to do?
What makes decisions difficult when dealing with our basic needs?
Well here is a a quick quick clue and it is brought to you by Maslow. Abraham Maslow is a famous Psychologist who was born in the early 1900s. He died over 40 years ago, and still he offers some of the simplest insight to understand the housing fears.
As a quick summary his findings about basic human needs are that we have to have a means for Food Clothing and .... SHELTER before we can move on to more important things like self esteem, love, contributing unselfish acts.
When we are young the role of a parent is to provide these basic needs so that we can grow and mature. When any one of the three key elements are not in existence, our very safety of and survival is at a MAJOR RISK.
So back to the housing market. We live in a time where there are so many families.... PARENTS that are scared to death that SHELTER is not going to be provided for their offspring.
What does this add up to.... FEAR. Where there is fear there is indescion and feelings of inadquecy a void to be filled. This leads to Paralysis through Analyisis.
SOLUTION- A game plan by a third party that is not in the world of fear. A third party offering counseling and real solutions to families who can get unstuck.
